I am an independent consultant committed to improving the health of men and boys. I support organisations in the public, private and third sectors that want to begin or develop their work on men’s health.
My areas of expertise include: training; public speaking; policy, strategy and service development; advocacy and lobbying; research and analysis; social marketing; equality and diversity.
My experience in the men’s health field is unique – for 12 years, I was Chief Executive of the Men’s Health Forum, England and Wales’ leading men’s health charity. I have also been health editor of a popular men’s magazine, author of two self-help books for men and launch editor of the www.malehealth.co.uk website.
My current work includes advocating HPV vaccination for boys in the UK, developing a new global initiative on men’s health and evaluating an international grant-making programme focused on engaging men and boys. Recent and current clients include HPV Action, Global Action on Men’s Health, Oak Foundation, Men’s Health Forum, the Health Service Executive in Ireland and Leeds Beckett University’s Centre for Men’s Health.
